Running without front prop

<< < (2/2)

squaddie_fox:
be gentle with the right foot if its wet! especially if you have tyres that don't grip the road well!!

it can get a little 'interesting'.

did it when i had to drive from tidworth to southampton! the steering is VERY light, compared to when the wheels aren't being driven, and the back steps out with a blip of the throttle! the looks you get when going sideways round a roundabout in a range rover!!

(obviously i wasn't on the public road at the time...... )

carls200tdi:
Took prop off this morning took rangie for a gentle spin to see what difference it made i did notice the sttering was a lot lighter i will have to be careful for the next day or so will hopefully get it fixed by the middled of the week cheers.

muddyjames:
I have a mate who's viscous couple siezed up and drove about for a few months with no front prop on. He even towed a 2 tonne trailer a couple of hundred miles too and all was well.

Range Rover Blues:
Which just shows, when they're seized they're seized.
