JEEP - any advice?

(1/4) > >>

discowoman:
looking through Ebay, and surprised at the price of Jeeps at the mo - even diesel and LPG converted ones can be had for less than a grand.
After owning RR's and Discos, i'm very tempted - so what can people tell me about them - will be used as a family bus - and the odd green lane.

MuddyMachine:
A mate acrross the road has one, 2 1/2" lift, 31" tyres, looks good drives well.

He uses it as family car and green laning, though he polishes it too much

boss:
dont do it!

why?
had my fair share of rusty sills - leaking alpine windows - mysterious oil/water leaks, and being charged a premium because its a land rover.

The Smiths:
Just buy one - you wont regret it.

Look at getting a facelift one 1997+ (now getting cheaper) and you won't have rust problems either - they are galv.
