Disco Matt:
As I understand it clamping is illegal in Scotland having been ruled to be extortion. About time the rest of the UK followed.
It doesn't solve anything, as the immobilised vehicle now blocks the space. All it does is make obscene sums for the clampers and cause people unnecessary hassle.
Wireless:
The solution is to buy one of these and convert into a camper;

They run on any fuel, veggie oil or otherwise, and would create a bit of difficulty when attempting to fit a wheel clamp.
Plus point, if the clampers chase you down the road and block you in, you simply drive over the top of the clamper van...sorted!
Lord Shagg-Pyle:
Good luck to the chap. I never did like the idea of parking enforcement being handed out to 'private' companies and other organisations.
Range Rover Blues:
Fit a set of super-swampers, even if they can find a clamp big enough you can let the tyre down and remove it ;)
