black smoke when engine is under load
« on: September 03, 2008, 13:59:20 »
In my series i have a 2.5 normally aspirated diesel, i believe out of a 90, and when it is under load it black smokes, i have just put some injector cleaner in and changed the diesel filter, and on tick over it is fine no smoke, but when you rev it she smokes, and when traveling it smokes under load, i expect a certain amount of smoke but i think it is excessive,  it does not have a standard air filter on it has a stupid induction air filter on the end of the air intake manifold i do not have the original filter and pipe work, it does not look like the diesel pump has been messed with as the anti tamper wire clips are still attached. Any ideas to why it will be smoking? many thanks in advance for your advice  :(
