Hub Lockers on 98+ (single peice units)
« on: August 24, 2008, 22:05:41 »
i had the dreaded 'clicking' notice, i tried everything to stop this, socked in oil, cleaned out regreased,  still clicking

so i went on the hunt, was told id ether have to get new ones (£230+vat) each from Nissan, or buy some Manuel hubs (£60-£90) each

so i went on the hunt even further, and found some info on making the std auto lockers in to Manuel ones

The press formed steel part (first part inside the auto hub) has several tangs that locate in a grove in the outer hub and can be removed with a crow bar and screw driver.
Then refit to car
Auto becomes "FREE"
Locked becomes Locked
