any ideas whether these will be any good for a traction aid for greenlaning? nothing too severe just the occasional foray into the wilderness!! you could get a few out of a 1.5 x 1 meter piece. alot cheaper than waffles etc.

wouldn't bother, plus they are cheaper in Toys r us.

they aint rteally designed for that sort of use, they are for making your garden in to a place that you can drive over with out turning it in to a mud bath

Interesting.

I am looking for something to keep in the Freelander when I got to Hillclimbs/Sprints as you ofen end up in muddy paddocks. Something to go under the wheels if I get bogged on the trailer and something to sand on when putting my race clothes on. I was thinnking cheepo waffels but this looks better.

Also for laning they would follow the countour of the ground so may grip well. Still as they are not usually sold for it id assume there  was a good reason. Is till think that for laning if you need too much grip then the lane should not be driven (hence full waffels may be too much?)

understand what they are for, just wondering whether thay could work in other roles.
theyd only be used as a "just in case" method.
