Is there any way of telling which my late 200 has fitted, other than the obvious.

Flat rather than mushroomed drive flange ends (hub end :) ) on the halfshaft mean 24 spline.

Sorry to disagree Andy, but my 10 spline ones have flat drive flanges....... they changed from domed to flat when they went from imperial to metric......

i'm not aware of any dead sure way to tell, apart from pulling a shaft out, which for the sake of 5 bolts and a gasket is so easy you might aswell do it to be sure!!

gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!

Not at all thats fine :)

However, all flat ends will be 24 spline by that reckoning? :)

So my 10 spline flat ended ones are really 24 spline then...lol.....  [-X

Damnit :) I should read what I post and what you post. What I meant was all flat ends are metric.

It seems then the only sure fire way is to pull a halfshaft.  :roll:
