nope, i think if you have permission to ride 20 horses through there (as i know they will have done) then theres nothing wrong with taking a car as well. I would bank on it doing less damage. Add to that the fact that i did not see him crossing any public footpaths or roads, and the fact that he politely opened and shut the gate.

Its certainly not uncommon to see a gamekeeper etc do somthing very similar indeed whilst following a hunt.

Lets see if this makes sense. If you drive, without permission, on private land, you are commting a criminal offense and risk a whole plethora of fines and punative measures (vehilce seizure etc). Hunts get away with for a host of reasons, gamekeepers generally have permission.

Driving than other than on a byway, without the consent of the landowner isn't 'funny' - its illegal and therefore can't be supported by this forum.

Like I said above, several high profile prosecutions have been made as a result of such behaviour.

it does my head in the whole greanlainging thing even tho i REALLY enjoy it, it seems like everyone has to walk on eggshels around "The Anti's"
when ever you see anyone on a lane you get looked at like shat and it really pisses me off, who cares what they think, its legal so sod them! aslong as your doing nothing wrong they can shove it up there ass, we are aloud to be there as much as they are! until the law changes but until then i just going to enjoy myself laning and make the most of it while it lasts, because matter how we drive it wont make a [!Expletive Deleted!] of difference to them they want us GONE!!!!

top gear was just abit of fun, leave them to it. I think even anyone anti laining would know thats not what greenlaing is about, but maon just because they can  :roll:
