Whilst the rear was calmer the front was also more wayward, so come the first split sidewall the fronts were swapped as a pair. In due course the rear will be swapped too, tho that is down to a lack of supply at the mo.

Sounds reasonable, I'd be interested to see what he reakons with the Kumhos on all four corners. I've run the BFG for years and love 'em to bits, but I can be open minded when replacing 'em!
..... which is due soon 8-[

Actually, they ate pretty much the same price as the Kumho. Paddocks have the 31/10.50 at £65+VAT each.
Interesting all the same. I hadn't seen the Toyo offering before ordering the Kumho's.

I've got them on my Jimny and they're the best tyre I've fitted to it both on and off road. They're great in mud, on rocks and transformed the handling on the road. Down side is they tend to get flat spots if stood for more than a week. As for the guy who struggled I'd suggest looking at tyre pressure and lowering next time. I've see AT's at reduced pressure do better than Insa Turbo's that some one decided to over inflate. Bougt my set of e-blag just to experiment with 31"'s on the Jimny, but will definately be buying same again. And if you think I don't get stuck because I don't try hard enough then ask my mates - I always go for the hardest route and a lot off them don't make it when they follow me.

Was up The Chase again at the weekend and my mate Karl has Kumho's on his Disco and if he'd have had a match or a lighter on Saturday, I reckon they'd have been fried by now - poo!
As for tyres, I'm affraid I've yet to find anything that's better all round than BFG MTs
- run them on both a lifted Disco and a 90

The tyres were the correct pressure, and no one else needed to air down - he also runs a heavly modded SJ as well.
