Hopefully this link to a page on Ashcrofts website will show a piccie of a LT230 x-fer box, the spigot is the little thing sticking up just above and to the right of the front output flange - there's a far better description on the website.

Many thanks for that Jimbo :PAll I will have to do  know is go out feeling up transfer boxes to see if they have a type of nipple on them
I might go for just a 5 seater as the 6&7th seats would be removed anyway to make way for my sound system :roll:Do the  5 seaters have the air suspension ?I might be wrong here but i'm sure i've read in the past that the air set up can be replaced with good old springs :?
Anyway thanks again to all of you's as you have been a great help with all of my Q's no matter how silly they may have been

boss:
the higher spec ones were fitted with air and yes you can ditch the air...reletiveley straightforward task. but taking the gearbox/t/box out is apparentley a little more difficult on a d2, i dont know why but thats what i was told. disco parts also do the CDL kit dont buy the solinoid activated one as i hear they jam!
