Auto Trader can exclusively reveal the latest details of a special edition Range Rover built by British tuners Kahn Design and legendary engineers Cosworth.

Cosworth is a legendary name in the automotive industry, lending its expertise to the likes of the Ford Sierra and Escort over the past 20 years.

And Kahn Design has been at the forefront for tuning Range Rovers over the past decade.

The Kahn Cosworth Sport 300 will be fitted with the TDV8 engine found in the Range Rover Sport with Cosworth upping power from 268bhp to 300bhp.

This should accelerate the kahn Cosworth Sport 300 from 0-62mph (100kph) in about 8 seconds and on to a top speed of 135mph.

As with all cars built by Yorkshire-based Project Kahn, the Range Rover will get a design overhaul and feature 22-inch alloys with the rear wheels more concaved than the front.

The Kahn Cosworth Sport 300 will also get an aggressive front spoiler, a large rear spoiler, flared arches and a special perforated leather interior.

Kahn Design was established by Afzal Kahn, who recently bought the registration plate F1 for more than £400,000.

Mr Kahn said: “This is taking the luxury 4x4 market to the next stage.

“The Kahn Cosworth Sport 300 is just the beginning. I intend to put the British motor industry back on the map.”

If you would like to form an orderly queue...

Thats right, behind me...

Production will be limited to 300, with the Kahn Cosworth Sport 300 expected to cost about £75,000 – £20,000 more than the standard Range Rover Sport.

A mate of mine works down at Cosworth here in Northampton.  He said that while the performance of the 300 is good, it looks like a complete dog's dinner with all the spoilers and stuff on it.  He reckons it would look good in 'Burberry' :)

performance is crap!

my Grand Cherokee is nearer 6 seconds 0-60mph

and it looks like a footballers car!!!!!!!!!!!

and at that price i'd be looking at an SRT8 or Cayenne Turbo

instead of sticking on chunks of plastic what have they done to improve the handling? - which is very poor as i drove a supercharged version not long ago

upgrading shocks/springs?

brakes?

Tommo:
am i the only one who is dissapointed that cosworth have only added 30bhp? im pretty sure thats just a bit of a re map.

and as for KAHN they all look poor.
