you cant really do it on a disco.....not with out it sitting really low or high. you could mount it in the boot and have the back door open while using it

I know you can get a winch mount that fits onto a receiver hitch, that and a couple of those heavy duty power connectors so you can plug the winch in at either end might be the best bet.

I've already CAD drawn my rear bumber and winch mounting up, I just need to get around ro cutting the steel and remaking the fuel the fuel tank and making up a tank gaurd to connect to it.

I know the fella that built that truck in the photo but he has now sold it. It was fabricated from a Scrapiron Racing HD Disco rear bumper with the centre removed and winch tray fabricated to fit. A cheaper similar rear bumper is available from Discoparts
http://www.discoparts.com
Theres some photos here of the build although I guess thats where the pic in the previous post came from...........
http://www.island4x4.net/fabrication.htm
In fact looking at the pics it woulnt be too difficult to fab up a winch mount then weld the ends of the standard bumper with the middle cut out to it.........

Golddigger 4x4 do what should be a nice rear bumper with winch mount, i'm awaiting some pictures from Carl before i decide weather have one or not, not the cheapest option, but i think it comes complete with tank gaurd, so you don;t need to spend out on that as a side benefit....
gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!
