Aircon any good on the TD5
« on: May 30, 2008, 15:50:05 »
I might be swapping my 200 Tdi 90 for a TD5 110 in the near future and as it will be a daily drive I want a/c. Can anyone report how good (or bad) the a/c setup is on the TD5, I know it is slung under the dash so won't demist etc but how effective is it for cooling the interior?

Hi, my air con is great, it has the ability to turn down very low so to just keep you cool, and can really shift some air if you want max cooling. Down sides are that at full pelt it is noisy and you very chilly willy as it is all blow at low level, wife says it's great.

If you get the heated screen as well you've got a result, well impressed with mine.

Any other questions?

Thanks Andy, glad to hear it is effective.

Now to find a nice tidy 110 with low miles and a/c for around £12k  ;)

Good luck,

are you part-exing one of yours? or going for one more to the collection?

I had to give up on the low milage bit in my search, but am very happy with it,
