What do you do for work?

Mine (or rather SWMBO's) is not badged as a T5 but reading the vehicle specs I can't see what the difference is between a T5 and ours.

Many, many thanks for the tip - I'll give it a go this weekend. It could prove tricky for me as I'm 6'5" and working on these "little cars" is really tricky. When I fitted the AFM I kept banging my head on that stupid grille attached to to bonnet.

Keep you posted.

I love it! I'd buy one if it was in dark metallic green.

Anyhow, had a look at the old girl today. How tight do they pack the bits in? I don't know what bit is what and if I did I couldn't get to it. Next step is back to the mechanic.

Many thanks for the advice again. I'll keep you posted.

An update......

The throttle body was replaced back in 2003. In July Volvo did a clean as a "good grace" gesture. They've checked every thing and put in new plugs. Still the same. Waiting for a throttle module to see if this helps...................

No fault codes reported then?  .....or did they even check that!?

If it's not AFM or dirty throttle body (and it's not...I've read the thread :) ) then next has to be plugs, HT leads and ignition module.

Even tho there are lots of electronic on the more modern car, they all still rely on the basic principle of correct mixture and suffient spark :)
