 hi every1 finally bought myself an engine for my disco atlast , im getting the engine box and transfer box for 300 quid , and a rad and intercooler for 67pound, so i should be all back together soon , cant wait :dance: :dance: :dance:

picked it up yesterday and got home at 3, by 6 pm it was all fitted and by 7 was all wored up, went to start and  click, had a flat battery lol  how annoying, i can only really start it breifly anyway as i havent received my rad yet, bit hopefully  will have her  fired up by tonight and when my rads done ill get some piccies up

Not sure I'd start it without the radiator - not so much the heat for a short time as the fact that the water pump will be running dry which doesn't tend to do pumps any favours. I'd wait for the rad to turn up rather than risk damaging your bargain.

thats a good point my man lol itmight help if i fit the altenator belt etc aswell lol  :doh: got  all my pipes done tonight so its just all down to the rad turning up and then  i can get her started , im very impatient lol :dance:

How do you DO that?  It takes me about 5 hours to change a bulb, by the time the wiring's broken, the screws have been unstuck, the fiddly access routes have been dismantled, etc.  I reckon it'd take me about 6 months to change an engine.

lol well lets say it wouldnt be the first time ive changed an engine lol i have vauxhalls and used to have mini's so ive had my fair share, plus i have to say these  are probably the easiest engines ive had to fit lol :lol: as soon as its together then im going to start buying it parts, first up is a snorkel lol

its alive  :dance: :dance: ran a hose through the engine so it had some water to pump and coverd the oil cooler pipes, and then turned the key and whoof she fired straight up , damn im happy lol as soon as me rad turns up no1 will be able to stop me haha :lol:
