Had one since December.  It rocks.  It's not a phone, it's a little thing that does everything you want it to very easily, and also makes phone calls.  I can't see how anybody who has used one for a couple of days could fail to love it.

Sadly mine is in for repair at the moment though!  It's been 100% reliable up until now but the earpiece stopped working...

I love watching all the other mobile phone companies now trying to come up with serious contenders.  Most of them just don't get it...  but it's good for the market, because now everybody else has to try to make phones with user interfaces that aren't designed by cretins.

i know a few people with iphones, and they all love them
but have you ever tried calling someone who has an iphone?
the sound quality sucks,
the network reception apparently sucks

also, the email software on the iphone only lets you delete one email at a time - that sucks.
he audio quality out of an iphone also fails to beat the quality of my dirt cheap MP3 player
just about everything the iphone does, it sucks at. it just does lots of things.

and the worst thing about the iphone? its locked to o2

its a fantastic phone, just too far from my price range  i like the tiny camera on it  and the fact you can have two phone calls at the same time

Horses for courses i guess. Its not my thing (i have a Nokia E90), as i like to be able to do more than the I-Phone offers. But i know people who have them and like them. One guy at work has figured out to do loads of stuff the I-phone wasn't designed to do. The O2 thing isn't a problem, they're easy to unlock, Buy one off the bay and look up how to unlock it.

Not very true, all in all.  You CAN delete multiple emails, the network reception is fine (some very early models had problems but that was fixed many moons ago), and the sound quality, if you're using external speakers, is cracking.

All in all I think the "sucks" comment doesn't really stand up to scrutiny...

Yep my Ipaq6915 does everything the Iphone does and more besides. and with a 4gb memorycard in the slot storage isn't a problem.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the iphone - all hype and style with little in the way of delivery that isn't already on the market. My phone does email, music, internet, the works, (and it makes phone calls) with the advantage that with 3g (and wireless) it downloads a darn sight faster than the Apple equivelent. Yeah, Apple are working on a 3G evolution, but it'll be no better than a lot of other stuff on the market.

We can argue 'user interfaces' till the cows come 'ome, 'ave a cuppa tea and start watchin' telly, but in terms of function it offers nothing new except a different way of presenting it.

Not a fan, but everybody's different.
