If you go down to the Panton brothers museum at East Kirkby in Locolnshire, you can actually pay a (unknown.. to me) sum & ride in their Lancaster whilst it's taxiing.
I've been there, & seen it running & the 2-seater Spitfire in the air.

£25 per trip per person. and its only a short taxi run about 3 lenghts of the plane. But they do full throat the engines at one end with the brakes on. still put a smile on my face :)

It's a 'Got To Hear' sound, as all 4 Merlins are run-up not a dozen yards away :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap:
Then held on the throttles, as the tail-plane oscillates laterally with the power :drool:
(& the Spitfire appears overhead for a few fly-pasts)
