vibration from drive
clairedave:
i have a vibration on my 90 thats getting worse ,its not props as fitted new axels from td5 and its still there i think it is cluch as when you depress cluch and free wheel there is no vibration at all.anyone had same problem,
Richie_EB4:
I would still say its prop......just because you have fitted new axles your props/uj's could be shot.
clairedave:
no play in props rear prop new
V8MoneyPit:
Gearbox/engine mount, maybe?
oggie engineer:
These 'new' axles from a TD5 defender, i presume they were in good condition. Did you use the TD5 props as well? Anything else fitted at the same time ie. taller springs etc.?
Sorry about all the extra questions, but answers could help me solve your problem.
I am a techy for a Landrover dealer (for 10 long painful years) and for the Royal Auxilliary Air Force.
A common one i have seen when people change front axles on defenders is they put the front prop back the wrong way, past experience of people doing this has resulted in a multitude of different problems. Droaning noises, vibrations etc.
