Bought myself a Laser about 5 weeks ago,

Sailed it for the first time wednesday evening (my only other experience of sailing was 3 hours on a topper) and have been out on it every day since  Cant get enough of it! Thought i had got the hang of it till i went out on sunday and capsized for the first time leaving the dinghy upside down and me rather wet

I did lose it again 3 more times in high winds but was able to "walk" over the side of the boat as it went over and get it upright again without getting wet!

It has to be the best fun i have had since i took up offroading, would recomend it to anyone to give it a try ;) ;)

Cheers

Mark

It dont need no engine, once they get a bit of a breeze in the sails they can take some hanging on to! Ask anyone who has sailed one! The laser 1 was described to me as "the bucking bronco of the sailing world" and after being blown over 4 times in one afternoon im begining to see why! Unless you try it you probably wouldnt understand, but anyone who has sailed one of these will tell you they are good fun and a handfull in a good wind ;)

I spent 2 weeks in one of these

32 foot and twin volvo's

very cool once you were out of the speed limit zones , unfortunatly in was on Windermere so we ran out of places to go  after the first week...

still it was free because me and my dad did a bit of work on it for the owner (dad was a rigger in the navy and did some decorative rope work in the cabin)
