What Size?
« on: May 02, 2008, 13:49:18 »
Looking for some new boots for my 90 with a 3" lift, think 33s would prob be best but no idea what that is in the xxx/xxR16 format and also what width is best?  Any one no where i can get some remoulds for a descent price as on a small budget :(

cheers and

A mixed bag of size converters:

http://www.s-series.org/htm/calc/tiresizeconv.htm

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

Think about offset as well, you'll need to balance usable steering lock versus the need for larger arches.

No problemo

I think 33" 's will be a bit small looking with a 3" lift though ... go the whole hog 35x12.5's  but then you'll need spacers and bigger arches and ...

Sounds like someones already used up most of their loan and overdraft

285/75R16 and 255/85R16 are the more common metric sizes for 33" tyres

Rasbo, from yer avitar your 90 looks a bit like mine...... I'd post a pic but don.t know how to shrink my picture size. Better with a spanner in my hand than a computer mouse....

believe so, might catch a wheel arch tho as you need a decent offset for the steering
