It's a completed waste of money, the £7,000,000 could have been better spent.

This bomber has been restored with money from private donations, a little hard won lottery cash, and thousands of hours of voluntary work by ex-Vulcan engineers some of whom I used to work with.

This has very little to with the current military budget.

Never said it did have anything to do with the MoD budget, and have made this even clearer since. But it is a waste of the lottery charity money. But yes, people can spend there well earned money on what they like.

Just feel I need to put my thoughts to this matter. I served in the Army during the cold war and was glad to know we had that marvel of "British" engineering on our side. They may have only flown in anger once, during the Falklands conflict but it must have been a deterant to any enemy's of ours. I also remember them at the airshows and still admire the crews that would have had to spend long hours in that small space. I couldn't have done there job if it came to the final conclusion in the cold war. Yes its a lot of money and I suppose it wont be flying very much but lets enjoy it while we can. :army:
