if they are a manufactured device who makes them and for how much?

if they are a kit what are they based on, and again who are they by, how much do they cost?

They're pretty much a Defender 90 with all the heavy duty bits you can buy. That's a real simplification though - I'm not sure if there are any standard LR bits in there!

I rather fancy the Nemesis, but my plan to do the same with an inoffensive-looking 300 series Disco and a supercharged 5l V8 would probably be more fun...

AFAIK Drew Bowler designed the Tomcat but sold the licence to towmcat motorsport in order to rasie develkopment money for newer projects.

As well as making kits Tomcat also make accessories like the 6 degree corrected front swivels as the majority of them run on modyfied LR chassis.
