200-300.bits and bobs swap
« on: April 12, 2008, 19:29:39 »
Hi All.

Right heres the story ...

I have a 200tdi three door , My mate across the road has just bought a 300tdi three door comercial.

I have been offered another 200 tdi for £300 good runner but a bit scabby round the edges .

He has offered to go halfs with me so he can have the rear seats and dicky seats and windscreen (new ones chipped).

question is :

1 will they fit .?

2 is there anything else on the 200tdi that will fit a 300tdi ?

I just want to make it a better deal for him as I'm getting the engine and gear box and axles. well and everything that dosen't fit the 300 :D

Cheers Lee

As far as I know the 200 windscreen won't fit a 300 as the 300 is bonded on and the 200 is just held in with a rubber seal.
I tried this myself for a mate and no luck!!

As for the seats, I think they fit but not sure.

I read somewhere that the later seat brackets are welded in, whether the seats will swap over I don't know.
