Agreed.  I was wondering how much the E-Bay one was as I'm breaking a 300TDi.  The box has done the 80 thousand ish of the car and looks in good nick.  It's still on the car though at the moment.

I'd take £50 for it without the drop arm (you watch I won't be able to get it of now :roll:) if you want to help me remove it.  I shudder to think what the postage will be like though :shock:

i dont know how many you have done before but the easiest and well tested method to get the drop arm off is to remove it once the box is on the floor. put the box between your feet with the drop arm nut on a few threads, use your best lump hammer and give it a few good hard cracks. as long as you are hitting it towards you it never fails, well that said, it hasnt yet  :oops:

the bloke on ebay is using a courier for 15 notes. so we would be looking at 65 quid in total. let me make a few more enquiries over the next few days as i may be able to get one local. if not can i give you a bell to see if yours is still up for grabs??

okay mate thanks, i'll give you a bell soonest, when do you think it will be off. i should have an answer on the eBay one and any ones available local by end of play Tuesday. i could really do with getting hold of one by next weekend so i can get one of my lads to do it at work the following week, i dont think it will last much longer as i am regularly topping up. perks of being the boss of an army workshop i suppose :lol:
