I'd really like to give them a second coat....... but the first one isn't dry yet

It can be slow but a week is a long time; give Finnegan's a ring and ask them about it.

Hammerite cures rather than dries as such; really unless you put a second coat on while it is tacky you are suppposed to leave it about six weeks I think.

Like I said call them; they might just pay for the thinners if it was a bad batch.

Range Rover Blues:
Yes Hamerite cures, the only drying as such is to get rid of the solvents that hold the paint in suspension.  IIRC you either put the secong coat on within 6 hours pr after 6 weeks once it's cured.

It wouoldn't be so bad if it was still any good but these days it's not worth the cost or the trouble.

eugene:
i always use a in fa red panel heater that does it quick but the atmosphere can make it take a long time to

lee celtic:
Petrol will take it off ..

check the batch numbers on the cans one of the batches may have been frozen before you got it , if so the store will have had other complaints.
