Jake, would you care to define "cheap", if all the parts are bough new at normal price what is the expected budget?

There is no set budget as such
The brief is to build a "pool" car for the staff to use as they see fit, to be classed as a standard car (open diffs, 1 winch) and to not cost the earth to create.
The base car (LR 90) cost £250.
The roll cage, winch, bumper, HD rear cross member, truck cab top are all take offs from Simons 90 (which is having a major makeover. The 300 tdi and box have come from a Disco we brought which was a scrapper. The transfer box we've had lying around for a while. The simex tyres are part worn take offs (again from Simons truck).
So its not costing a lot to make
The workshop time will be free because most of it will be out of hours and every one working on it will be using it from tome to time.
I guess the it will cost around £2000 to complete, which in challenge terms is very little money

Mine rocks slightly when you blip the pedal due to the torque, not noticed any upward movement though.

Powerful single-prop aircraft have a similar problem - the plane wants to spin in the opposite direction to the prop!

steve, if that were me i would fit a side exit....and if mine was a v8 i would have one pipe coming out each side!
IMO fitting a big back box after nearley ripping one off is an act of stupidity! or am i missing something here? :-k
