Leisure use? Surely a Jacuzzi in the back would be better for that?

Nope, My disco has gone. Broke a vertebrae and had to take an office job that meant a lot of commuting so have now got an E30 318is  M-Tec. Gunna look for a series vehicle as a toy. I Have come to the realisation that running a prepped landrover day to day is not really an option.

lol, might be an idea.....Come and join the E30 forum if you like, thats quite amusing too whilst having filters, the filters are quite imaginative like turning 'piece of s%£t' into 'lovely chariot' automatically!

steve, as a general rule if a cage doesnt have any diagonals going from the top of the cage to the chassis it wont be that great. possibly act like a giant mouse trap!

and no the V8 you posted is defenatley what i dont need! thank you for the thought but i will be needing loaaaaaaaaadsss of low end torque(small hint into what we are doing)....a diesel would defenatley be better but a V8 sounds nicer(maby a TDV8 ) . and it will be heard!
not sure if i can say much more than that as strictley speaking its not MY build...i have just been hijacked to do most of the work....along with all my tools!
if you are after a cage then you could wait a few months untill i get my JD2 then your more than welcome to come down for the weekend and i can make one for you. provided there is enough room in the car hole. you need that air box BTW?

Maybe you could make the cage for the disco so the doors dont open........then seal up the doors, then it could be amphibious too? Or make some kind of self righting mechanism?
