Lift kit Gone Wrong

(1/4) > >>

cotefarmboy:
Just had my 90 into a local 'specialist' to fit a 1.5" lift, he's only gone and fitted the springs the wrong way, fronts at back and vv. Now the front sits around 3" higher than it should while the back sits down.

He has offered to swap it round FOC but can't do it until Monday, am I likely to damage anything driving it like this? I am supposed to be giving it a gentle run off-road tomorrow.

iomlr:
no, shouldnt do, jsut dont do anything extreme, it might be alittle horrid to drive thou, so becareful.

cotefarmboy:
Front end feels really wobbly, only concern is that I might pop out a rear spring if they are too short/soft.

Tommo:
just watch the front shocks as well and try not to go air born!

Rasbo:
the springs should be roughly the same length, gonna feel really bouncy tho as the springs have a differnt stiffness.  Should get  some good travel on the rear tho  As its only just been done everythings gonna be new so would only take about 2 hrs to change them back yourself.

If you want to do it, i gan whip up a step by step for you

Andy

oh, and try and stay away from any sideslopes!!
