land-def-90:
just thought i had my 200tdi defender sorted now a new prob has developed, I seems to run fine will cruise at 60 mph with no probs but when coming to a stop when you dip the clutch a horrible clunking noise comes from (i think) the front axle and it shudders to a halt, sounds realy bad, makes no diference if you knock it out of gear, have eliminated prop shaft probs, any advice would be appreciated [-o< ragards Iain

Range Rover Blues:
CV joint about to pop?

Tommo:
could well be the handbrake

Tommo:
when you are pulling up just apply the handbrake slightly and see if the noise goes.

land-def-90:
thanks for the advice, i can see where you are coming from with the cv joint and the hand brake, but why would hand brake start applying itself like that :-kalthough i must say that is wat it feels like, will try applying hand brake tomoro and see how i get on [-o< thanks again chaps Iain
