MPG figures?
discowoman:
Right, had a sort of pondering moment or two today whilst listening to some mp babble on about being GREEN again..
OK so we all know that nissan micras etc are good on fuel, but in the REAL world (2.4 kids 2 adults +1 dog) what is the most fuel efficient PRACTICAL car/mpv/4x4?(up to 10 years old - we all cant afford new cars
face it we cant all drive around in Smart cars or those silly micro cars, so what is the most eco-friendly FAMILY friendly vehicle?
(our disco on bio averages mid 20's to low 30's round town..and on the motorway we can nudge 40mpg) not too bad for 2 tonnes of 15 year old car...
Rich_P:
One of these at the very least.
;)

hmmm, well our 2A lwb 2.25 diesel used to average 35mpg ish (had a very pessamistic fuel gauge)
had a Pug 405 diesel estate that used to average 50mpg whether you nursed it or thrashed it ;)
Rich_P:
Well you asked for the most eco-friendly, and a utility Land Rover is far more likely to last a looong time than a Pug or most normal cars will. :)
