took it out sunday round a few local lanes and got it muddy hehe
let me know what you think .........
discowoman:
look to spend about £300 on welding minimum, plus the power steering pump wants topping up or changing, tyres need changing from a safety point of view (100 - 200)
cheap to buy but believe me it will take all your money....we all know this
Steven:
Yer you've got a bit of work on your hands mate, but its probally your sort of stuff weding and that. Good luck and have fun with it! ;)
Disco Matt:
Looks like a good start - you do need to get on top of that list of jobs though, particularly the brake lines, tyres, and rust before you buy anything else. Might be worth changing the timing belt too, and I'd get shot of the bull bar. You don't need it and they're a lot of extra weight on the front end, to say nothing of the insurance implications.
Edit, I'd second the suggestion to check the power steering fluid level. Mine had the same symptoms which were rapidly traced to a leaking steering box.
mikiep1986:
yea that was the worse bit about it was the welding side but my mate can do all that cheap
goind to get some power steering fluid the weekend
this will do me for my 1st offroader then i can build it up he he hopefully going to bobtail it next year or later on this year ??
yea it will take all my money he he but i love it ...
will keep everyone posted on the progress...
