Lo-Ratio problems?
« on: March 22, 2008, 21:09:52 »
Took the J-Top out on his maiden laning trip today.

I must say, is it normal to only have one useable gear in lo-box?

Coming from a Rangey and Lightweight, I am used to starting in 3rd lo and when needed dropping a gear or 2.

I struggled on some of the steeper slopes, a little bit of clutch slipping, which is not ideal, managed to do the trick.

What do you guys do with tricked up Paj's ?

Do you change the diffs ?

Cheers

David

You should have all 5 gears in low box, looks like you've lost some

"one useable gear in lo-box"

What I mean is, 2nd gear lo-box offroad is too high, and so then 3rd,4th and 5th !

Maybe it's the offroading that  I am doing is too tough for a Paj?

Sorry i get you now.  I find 2nd low isn't much use, it's about the same as 1st high
