Hello....newbie of North Wales
« on: March 21, 2008, 19:59:43 »
Hello all,

Based in Caernarfon, I have found a couple of locations for off road fun, but being new to the scene if anybody fancies meeting up and showing me around them there hills ???...I have bought a 96 Diesel Cherokee LTD hence my screen name, to stop the Merc getting wrecked on the horse box and farm run, very pleased with the Jeeps off road skills considering it is standard, although that may well change the more I get into it ...great site hopin to bring valuable input and topics in due course.. :P

Haven't been up there for years  we used to go up with the motocrossers and play in the swamp bit at the top.
Is the shooting range on the other side still open?

as for the shakey footage I bet it's shakey there are a lot of big drops up there 8-[

Half the path from the quarry image you have has collapsed so can't get all the way round in one go, but some great drop off's still and some quite deep tracks need a 2" lift really to help grounding and I have a mix of roadies and 2x all terrain tyres, need some off roadies really to get up those steep soft ground hills, overall the Jeep was stionking considering it's stock...when your backs better we will have to go play as I am sure you uprated disco may get to places I wont go on me own and I need to someone to get me unstuck...!!!
