Right folks I know this is something I should of thought of first but I would like to know what size the original door pockets are. My friendly tin basher at work has suggested a couple of boxes that can be fitted to a rail. When not in use  the equipment can be stored out of harms way. I don't think this is original but I think it is a smart idea any way.  8)

what about those old tables where they had the hinges on them to fold out and stay then push them up to fold them back away again, they were used in old garages and as stalls at car boots as from what i can remmber, do they use those type of hindges anymore? that would make an excellent fold away mechanisum but don't know how reliable or strong they could be. as you could add your own type of parcel shelf or similar inside??  :?

What you're talking about is called a piano hinge so just type piano hinge into ebay and hit search, you can get various sizes in either chrome on brass or stainless, here's a couple of links.   piano hinge #1   and   piano hinge #2
...........cheers, Jack.

yeah thats what i meant  :D also was thinking if you put those on some wood stands that fold away with the shelf it would stand up in the back of the disco if that would work somehow, depending on what kind of room you were looking to use to then secure it and un-secure it each time you wanted it then were going to put it away. was just an idea, just going with the flow.
