pro comp es 3000 rears catch on jimny

just found out my es3000 pro comp rear shockes have been rubbing on the bottom spring mount and the rear support arm , the drivers side rear has nearly worn threw ive only had these on for a few months what can i do , is this explorer uks fault or do they all do this??????????

I have ES1000 on mine i just put a couple of washers between the bush and the mount.

Either space them out or invert them - they are gas pressurised shocks anf so should work in any plane, I have inverted my rears with no noticable difference.

NO DONT INVERT THEM they are not designed to work upside down it locks up the damping  and will give you a realy harsh ride (i know i tryed)

what more harsh yhan i have already , the jimny at the moment feels as i have no suspention at all , anyway ive put some washers on the back to pull them away from the spring carrier that should do the trick 4 now :-k

Mine have been inverted (up side down) for 12mths + now with no ill effect. Simple answer is try it - if it doesn't work turn em back round! Without a bit of trial and error the Wright Brothers would never have got of the ground!

Throw the rubber boot protectors away, they fill up with mud and rust the piston rod of the shocks in no time. Should be fine inverting Gas shocks, Oil shocks be a different matter though. I seem to remember my rear shocks were just bent lol.

had a close look at mine , mine are the es 1000 shocks are they gas or oil?????

ES1000 and ES3000 are hydraulic (oil) and ES9000 are Gas
