What year is yours and is it a 200 or 300tdi?

Part Number : NTC4991 - BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER DISCO TO 1994. RRC - 1986 TO 1994

Part Number : STC1285 - BRAKE MASTER CYL NON ABS DISCO 1 1994 ON

They don't list anything different, so one can assume that the parts are the same and as above.

One thing you may want to check. is there a small hose coming out of the back of the master cylinder?

Going through a t piece, check see of the hose is split on the join, this is a favourite for brake probs

Can you hear an air leak in side the car? could be a weak pump, as the end plate on 300 vac pumps are rivited on and tend to work loose, check your pipe work for leaks,

I use nice stainless allen key bolts, tap out the vac pump body with an M6 tap, job done, looks very neat,

where it read master cylinder was meant to read servo unit, brain firing on two cylinder at this time of day
