Oil Leak
generation-x:
im by no means an expert pete
but the sender you think is temp is ur oil light might be worth popping it out and checking its seal
richard maybe im all wrong but i always thought the core plugs were part of
the water system not the oil system?

My understanding was that a core plug is just any plug in a drilling in the casting, could be wrong. The oil galleries are done in a similar fashing.
However the leak seems to start at the block/head interface.

Hey guys,
I'am a novice so will be happily corrected on any of this. We'll certainly try removing and checking the sender. Is there any kind of sealent that would be suitable to put in when reattaching the sender? The old trick would be to put electrical tape around the bolt as you screw it in. This works for boats to stop water leaks but i've never tried it near a hot engine!
Also if it is a core plug or the joint between the block/head interface whats the remedy to stop it? I'm hoping for the plug leaking as the block/head interface automatically sounds expensive!
