Alternator for Defender 200 TDi
« on: February 28, 2008, 19:28:30 »
Checked the return on Alt today and its only just over 12v so I suspect its on its way out.

I have 2 Exide 900 Gell battery's linked in line, a Warn 8274 directly linked via an isolator switch, soon to have 4 KC daylighters 130w or 150w not sure yet, air compressor plus other smaller bits.

2 questions, Can I use the alternator off my 1990 3.5V8- will it fit? Do I need an 100 amp unit? I know the alt on the V8 is good, kicks back 13.8V

Guardian.

as long as you can get it to fit, i cannot see why you couldnt use it.
