Parts to fit a roll cage

(1/3) > >>

zulublue:
I have a chance of getting hold of a roll cage for my 90 Truck Cab, the cage has 4 flat plates for in the back tub and 2 down tubes for the front hoop, it does not have any mounting brackets with it.

Can you anyone tell me what I need where and how its fixed to the chassis, and where to buy? A diagram or pics would be great.

Guardian.:
IT SHOULD HAVE FLAT PLATES TO PICK THEM UP, underneath with box section or brackets to weld / bolt onto the chassis, lots of people just bolt these to the floor, this is not advisable, looks good but will pull off easily!
if you cannot make yourself, id bolt it into position and take to a small fabrication shop or garage and see if they will make up bottom brackets for you.

extreme90:
try devon 4x4 they sell there cage fitting kits seperate..
or

P+P
do you know who made the cage

if all else fails

dan

Guardian.:
looking at the pic (but it might just be the pic) looks home made as there are what looks like some deformed / creased bends and lots of welded joints as opposed to single lengths.

MuddyMachine:
I can assure you its the picture, they are full lengths and bends arnt creased ;)
