Cooling Water leak.... continued......

loose drop arm, play in steering ujs etc...
.....or a kapputt box!

The play is only up to the box from the steering wheel, all connections OK, movement goes into top of box, but nothing out of the bottom.
I think this thread should be re-named to BigA's general problem thread lol :lol:

let me see.... :-k Water leak....... battery....... swivel housings....... steering box....... :-k well other than the old girl seeming a bit twitchy recently, and cant find anything out of the ordinary i think i am covered until i next start her up lol.
now just don't get me started on the wife and kids..... :roll:

When a steering box starts to wear, the main shaft and bearing often go and no amount of fixing the seals can help in the long run, but I have found the PAS stop leak works well on steering racks and PAS pumps ;)
We tried the hydraulic oil version on an old FLT once, it was running our of the thing almost as fast as we could put it in, after 10 minutes with the gunk in it the leak was all but stopped, so it does work ;)
I'd also recomend the Auto box stuff, but put it in before your box is broken.
