Looks nice. I have never understood why some people fit what appears to be a steering guard device (the chequer plate stainless) which runs right upto the bull bars down to the bottom. Have seem a few suzukis with it and some landys.

Do they function like a normal guard or do they ramp over things/create bows in water etc etc, be interested to find out.

Looks nice.

hi m8 the reason for the bash plate is 2 reasons really(for me anyway) (1) due to the amount of lift it left the radiator very expossed were this is good on the road as it wud keep it cooler off road it wouldnt last long before it got blocked

so we thought it wud be best to add the plate (2) it breaks up the front end as its all black
as it now its finished

hi mick
mine is not a GV its a mk2 vitara  comon misstake as they do look alike due to
the body moldings
it does share alot with the gv thou so does cause a few problems in gettin spares but hey thats life

glad u like thou
on the other matter i paid £1100 for the standard v6 but a couple of weeks ago i brought the wife one almost identical with mot and tax for £420 it does have a  gearbox problem but some active8 shud buy us some time
if you look on the bay there are a few on there currently for the specs you get its better value then a "normal" vitara
i.e
power winders all round
power steering
central lockin
some have power sunroofs too

the thing to look for in the 2ltr v6's are the cam chains common problem with them
they rattle and with the repair parts only from main stealer @ over £400 it can get expensive or like wot im doin (as mine rattles) is to wait till it implodes and get another engine for about £350

hope this helps m8y

yes mate it is.
our granite basher site.
have one or two probs with the boys at the mo.
we have got the vits as second offroaders. to us for transport and laning.
but they think the vits are sh#t. but got to say with just a 3"body lift. they did really good at the week end.
yes they may not have gone the place we would have put the sj's but that not what we got them for.
so it really nice to see your self with some many year under your belt. building one to use hard!!
one day thay may see the light!!!!

mick my v6 has done about 112k but i spose it depends on wot servicing you do as the suzuki book (not hanes book of lys) says regular service WILL prolong the chain life

garrie v6 that i put a new  chain in has done 146,000. but the other on he's got as a scraper. had 46,000 but the knackard chain ment the cam snaped!!!!
so as the saying goes "you can't over service an engine...but you can under service it"!!!
