As regards to having 'fun' with the telemarketers.. we get a lot of calls asking for the new manager or licencee to which the get well when have you got a new manager down for... standard response from them is 'click'.
i tend not to pass on or accept any calls unless they ask for the person specifically as 99% of the time its crap!
as regards to your bank telephoning worries try the automated system that nationwide seem to have developed! i recently started receiving calls from them dispite them being told i didnt wish to receive calls @ work as anyone can pick the phone up.. all you need to do is insert my DOB and youd prob have access to all my account details!
i think your right to be supisious over calls where they dont ask for the person in question directly or state where there calling from and why they are calling so late/early

i actually enjoy them... the phonecalls are best tho, winding them up is a real treat for me!

so if I get a call and they ask to speak to Mr Steele, I ask them to wait while I get "him" - then chuck the phone into an empty room and leave them hanging on. :P

One thing to try is googling the phone no. sometimes it works try your own phone.no see if it's on the web!! it's amazing sometimes where you find it!! :shock: :shock:
