changing the clutch on an R380

(1/3) > >>

boss:
going to check out my clutch tomorrow(and damn the consequences!) how do you go about it? do you have to drop the transfer box out as well as the gearbox? its something i would rather avoid but i think its better i learn to do it myself than constantly rely on mechanics

bodgeitjo:
hi ya boss. you can leave t,box attatched and drop it all out in one. or if you can get hold of an engine lift take the engine out instead. ( i find easyer myself )peace of cake especially after seein what youve done to your landy already. :D

Range Rover Blues:
I'm with him, engine out (or forward a foot) is marginally easier at home than lifting the gearbox/T-box assy out, as you have to lower the back end of it then slide it out, it's heavy, awkward, a right PITA TBH.

boss:
christ! the engine! what have i got myself into!

bodgeitjo:
just remember wich wires, plugs, bolts come from where  and you will be fine .  and the bolt you have left over at the end doe"s go somewhere   ;)
