raised air intake question
stageonesimmo:
Just place it in the normal position, but fit a guard to it. I've seen your welding skills so you should be able to knock up some form of 'fan', (as in old ladies keeping cool, not in front of a radiator), shaped guard that clamps to the snorkel just below the filter to deflect branches etc - it'll also help keep the worst of the crud off the filter as well without stopping it breathing.
All you'd need is a slotted ring the same interanl diameter as the snorkel's outer diamaeter then form a 1/4 of a cone, chop the pointy end off to match the curve of the clamp band, weld the 2 together and off you go.........
I'm sure I've seen one somewhere on't net, I'll have a look about..........

up the back like in the pics would be safest... unless your a complete nutter!
lot of tube tho, might give a bit of restriction?
boss:
i like the one up the back, not much tube involved but alot of silicone hose. im not sure about cuttung holes in the bulkhead though...
Jake:
Have a look HERE
This show's all the build of the snorkel on the 90
The only downside (and i mean only) is the noise of the constant sucking coming through the cab
You soon get used to it though ;)
Go for it, its a great route and works a treat too
boss:
thoroughly studied mate ;) it is a bloody good idea and as for induction roar i dont care!
