Can anyone shed some LIGHT please.
« on: November 10, 2003, 20:17:37 »
Want to replace my roof lights for 4 LR Rally 1000 spots but at £64 quid each they are a bit steep (£256 quid in total and that's not including VAT)  :(

So I was wondering LR sell the stone guards seperatley and I thought that I could get the lights else where, or similar so that the guards will fit  :?:

Does anyone know where might sell these lights  :?:

I seem to remember seeing a stall at billing selling sets of lights and they had a set of the rally 1000's beside them and advertising there's at fraction of the price but can't remember who they were.

The LR Rally ones are made by Hella.

Any suggestions would be welcome  :D

Think I've got a pair of the Hella 'Rallye 1000's' in the cellar if you're interested, they were on the V8 when I had it.
No stone guards though, just the normal covers.

Have you tried a Hella dealer :) ?

What about 'Larkspeed' at Crossgates? (behind the Arndale Centre), failing that there's a rally shop in Castleford at the end of Oxford Street.

Cheers Richard, but have found a contact that sells them cheaper than LR  :)

Thanks anyway

If they are the Hella Rallye 1000 lamps there is a grill available its part number is 9hg148 995-001 (single unit so you need 2).
Any Hella stockist should be able to get them, if you were near preston I'd have a few ideas.
Another idea may be to grovel to the marketing department who may "donate" some if asked nicely.
hope that helps
John
