Do you just clean them and paint them or is it more involved prep wise?

I leave the scratches on, All I am going to do is put more on.

spraying plastic is never gonna be easy.

remove trim and use a good degreaser first

now sand all over with  sand paper or wet and dry paper this provides a key.

blow off with a air gun

apply primer first 2 coats gives a real strong undercoat.

now top coat of colour wanted.

then clear laquer protects and seals it all.

They are unpainted grey which looks poo so was thinking black. Thing is tho what sort of paint as some i've seen look all flaked off and nasty. Is it just normal car paint or special stuff?

back to blacks okay , black shoe polish is alot cheaper or good odd waxoyl sprayed on. dont bother with that clear foam spray  stuff aint worth a light
