over heating 300
PITBULL:
driving my 300 last night done about 30miles started 2 drive up a hill and the temp gage started 2 creep up almost into the red but when i went over the top of the hill back 2 flat it came back down on the way home fine on the hills until i done about 30miles again then on hill it started creepin up again whats that all about?
mroxo:
Could be an air lock or a blocked pipe or heater matrix etc. Check the thermostat and change if neccesary. Also check thereis coolant all the way round the system. Dont leave it to chance coz it will cost you a head etc in the end when it goes pop. And remember its winter so it will get worse in the coming months.
L90OOK:
Sounds like a blocked radiator to me. Does the temp creep up on motorway runs over 60mph?
muddydisco:
Check your radiator fins have not correred or fallen away. :|
PITBULL:
its fine at 65-70 if the road is flat its just when goin up hills dont think its a block heaters work fine and just had the head skimmed its seems 2be when the engine is under quite abit of load comes back down when u back off the throttle my disco got full cage roof rack and heavy duty everything so is rather heavy
