L200 towbar lektrix
« on: January 02, 2008, 19:26:39 »
Hi Guys,

Santa brought me a towbar for my 2006 L200 which is now duly fitted...problem is I don't know if it needs owt special in the wiring department, but my instructions issue grave warnings about canbus (which I know it hasn't got) and bulb warning systems / cnage over relays etc etc etc....

Is there anything special or can I just use the usual channels ?

Cheers in anticipation

Assuming that your's is a Mitsi part (bumper & tow point combo), then it should connect straight in to the wiring harness located on the near side rear lighting cluster....., mine did. It took longer to fit the replacement rear bumper/tow combo than it did to do the electric's.

Cheers Chris but no it's not I'm afraid ...seven core wire with no end on it...

Underneath the car, near the spare wheel on the nearside is a spare plug - part of the loom, time to do some testing methinks !
