Cambelt Woes, need help

Don't heat the nut, if you heat metal it expands making it tighter and harder to remove. The blow torch idea is a good one though, make sure that you heat the area all around the nut so the case expands making the nut easier to remove.

altho all you need to do is use the starter, never fails

Well actually it does fail as it wouldnt do it on mine either. In the end it took about 40st worth of men hanging off a scaffold tube to crack it off.
