MTyrrell:
Has any body got any recommendations for 4x4 insurance companies?
I have been having a job finding a half decent price.

When you hear of insurance quotes consider only like for like when you hear others say how amazingly cheap they managed to get insured.

Classic policy with full legal protection 5,000 miles per year agreed value £1000 only me as driver, £100 excess. No accidents my fault & no convictions. I have a registered disability & DVLA notified & licence unrestricted. Vehicle is unmodified with no winch or bullbar.
DE postcode and parking normally offroad in a private driveway not garaged.

:D Must be member of a motor club to get a discount.

It gets complicated don't it? Comparing like for like is unlikely!

Adrian Flux £120 (L & G) - does not mention greenlaning specifically :(
Peter Best £119.06 (Nor. Union) - Includes greenlaning :D

above recent quotes for the 1970 S11A you see in piccie.
guess which one I chose.

Hope this helps

I'm with Lancasters. Have been for two years now and they are really good. They have a special area on their website for Land Rovers and you can do it all online. They were the best I could find price wise.
